Activism
The Adoption Mandala is something I created and used to change a law in the state of Montana. Seriously, it’s official. I won!
Well, it was a good first step in winning. There’s still much to do on that front. I haven’t made the time to do much with the Adoption Mandala work since I changed the law in 2015 because, sheesh, that was a messy thing to do and it left me a kind of bitter about the Adoption Community at large. Some of those folks are simply crazy and some of them are really mean and unhealthy! Wow.
Luckily, some of those folks are really great and I’m ok. I made it out of there alive. I might even go back there soon because the Adoption Community is a treasure trove of amazing people with inspirational stories. I love people and their crazy stories!
Anyway – I’m mentioning the Adoption Mandala here to show that I’m really truly an artist-activist superhero who makes good things happen. I am one among many who indeed strive to make the world an even better place than it already is – which is pretty great when you take the time to notice it. Hint hint – this is an inspirational moment. If I can be the reason a law changed – you can too!
Although I presented the Adoption Mandala at a few conferences and made some great waves in the big world of helping people in addition to changing the law, I’ve pulled the Adoption Mandala site down for now. Send me an email if you think I should re-create it sooner than later.
I recommend the “Knock! Knock!” button, but you are free to go as you wish.
